Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 6, 2026. We believe financial and wage information belongs to you. Here is how we protect your privacy.
No Accounts Required
You never need to register, provide an email address, or create an account to use our calculators.
Local Browser Processing
Your hourly wages, schedules, and calculations are computed locally in your browser memory.
No Advertising Trackers
We do not embed third-party advertising tracking scripts, marketing pixels, or analytics SDKs.
1. Client-Side Calculator Processing
Calculator inputs (such as hourly pay rates, salaries, hours worked, and schedules) are processed locally in your browser and are not intentionally transmitted to or stored by OvertimePayRate.com. Our calculation engine runs as an interactive client-side JavaScript application, so the numbers you enter remain on your device.
We do not solicit or store:
- Names, residential addresses, Social Security Numbers, or employee IDs
- Employer names or workplace identities
- Historical payroll records or saved calculation ledgers
2. Local Storage and Cookies
We use browser `localStorage` solely to store your visual theme preference (light mode vs. dark mode). This ensures that your display preference persists across page reloads without flashing.
We do not use invasive cross-site tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or browser fingerprinting scripts.
3. Server Logs & Edge Infrastructure
When you visit OvertimePayRate.com, edge hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard HTTP request headers (such as IP address, user-agent, and requested file path) for DDoS protection, network performance, and security monitoring. These transient server logs are handled in accordance with standard network operations and security practices.
Because we do not maintain user accounts or persistent wage databases, we do not compile behavioral profiles. We do not claim formal certification under regional privacy frameworks such as GDPR or CCPA; our privacy architecture is founded upon local client-side calculation by design.
4. External Government Sources
Our website links directly to official state labor departments, legislative statutes, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Once you click an external link, you are subject to the privacy policies of those respective government agencies.
5. Contact Information
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or our client-side data architecture, please contact us at [email protected].
